Meet Dr. Andrew Ambrose

Dr. Andrew Ambrose graduated from Saint Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Ambrose helps patients optimize their vision though comprehensive eye evaluations to determine what types of glasses and contact lenses will fit their lifestyle. He participates in all aspects of eye care including diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic medical eye issues.

Dr. Ambrose is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Tidewater Optometric Society. A past clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and volunteer provider at the Olde Towne Medical Center.

He enjoys spending time being active outdoors, has completed multiple marathons and triathlons. As a New York native, he roots for New York Sports teams. He values his time spent with his wife, daughter and sons.

Dr. Tori Pierce

Optometrist

Dr. Pierce is a Park Scholar and alumna of North Carolina State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Integrative Physiology and Neurobiology (Go Pack!!).  She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, graduating with honors as valedictorian with membership in the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. As part of her optometric training, Dr. Pierce completed externship rotations at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC with an emphasis on ocular disease management and at the practice of Family Optometry in Chandler, AZ with an emphasis on pediatric vision and development. 

  

Dr. Pierce is passionate about helping individuals improve their visual potential and maximize visual performance through routine vision care, specialty contact lens fits, acute and chronic disease management, and surgical co-management. She prioritizes building meaningful relationships with her patients and believes in providing compassionate, personalized care to address the diverse needs of each individual. Whether you're due for a routine eye exam or require specialized care, you can trust Dr. Pierce to meet your personal eye care needs. 

  

Dr. Pierce is an active member of the American Optometric Association and a new member of the Virginia Optometric Association and Tidewater Optometric Association. She is dedicated to staying at the forefront of optometric advancements and is actively working on her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.  

  

Originally from Eden, NC, Dr. Pierce is excited to make coastal Virginia her home along with her husband, Devin, who proudly serves as an active-duty Airman. She looks forward to exploring the region’s unique outdoor offerings, finding a new pickleball crew, and discovering her place in the community.
